Sykes was a co-founder of MTV and throughout his career has held leadership positions including President, VH1; President, Chrysalis Records – North America; Executive Vice President, Artist Acquisitions, EMI Music Publishing; and Chairman and CEO, Infinity Broadcasting Corporation .
