Majid Jafar

Majid Jafar was born in 1976 in Sharjah. He is the CEO of Crescent Petroleum, and is regularly ranked on lists of influential people.

Jafar studied at Eton College and University of Cambridge before obtaining master’s degrees in engineering and international studies, as well as an MBA from various top-tier institutions.

He began his work with Crescent in 2004, and by 2011 he had risen to the position of CEO. He has been named one of the 25 most powerful people in the Middle East oil and gas industry, and he was on the list of the top 100 business leaders from the Middle East.

Jafar is married to Lynn Barghout Jafar and is the father of three children. He established the Loulou Foundation with his wife to help raise money to cure CDKL5 Deficiency Disorder, a rare disease that their eldest daughter suffers from.

Jafar is a member of many boards and has received accolades from numerous publications and organizations including the following:
