(Suggest an Edit or Addition)According to Wikipedia, Anthony John R. Russell-Wood was a leading historian of colonial Brazil, the Portuguese Empire, and the broader Luso-Brazilian world. Life Russell-Wood was born in Wales. He was educated at Rossall School and Oxford University and became a member of the faculty of the Department of History at the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, in 1971; at the time of his death, he was the Herbert Baxter Adams Professor of History. He died, aged 70, in Baltimore, Maryland.
