His contributions to the field include the NegaScout algorithm. Biography Alexander Reinefeld studied physics at the Technical University of Braunschweig and computer science at the University of Hamburg and during two one-year visits in Edmonton at the University of Alberta. In 1982 he concluded his Diplom in computer science and in 1987 he received his Ph.D at the University of Hamburg.
