According to Wikipedia, Henry Alexis Thomson CMG FRCS FRCSE was a Scottish anatomist and medical author. He was Professor of Systematic Surgery at the University of Edinburgh from 1909 to 1923. He was an honorary member of the French Association of Surgeons and of the American Society of Clinical Surgery.
