According to Wikipedia, Árni Páll Árnason is a former Icelandic politician, who served in the government of Iceland as Minister of Social Affairs and Social Security from 10 May 2009 to 2 September 2010, and as Minister of Economic Affairs from 2 September 2010 to 31 December 2011. He served as a Member of Parliament for the Social Democratic Party from 2007 - 2016. He was elected party leader in February 2013 in a ballot of all party members with 62,2% of the votes cast, and served as leader until June 2016.
