Playing career Rogers was drafted 118th overall in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft by the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim. He played high school hockey at the Hotchkiss School in Connecticut before undertaking a collegiate career at the University of Michigan for the Michigan Wolverines of the Central Collegiate Hockey Association.
