Why Is Carlo Vanzina Influential?

According to Wikipedia, Carlo Vanzina was an Italian film director, producer and screenwriter. Vanzina was born in Rome, the son of Maria Teresa Nati and film director Stefano Vanzina and brother of Enrico Vanzina. In English-speaking countries, he is likely best known for his 1985 giallo Nothing Underneath, starring Donald Pleasence and Renée Simonsen, which received a substantial home video release and aired on cable frequently. He would effectively remake his own film in 2011 as The Last Fashion Show with Richard E. Grant.
