Education and career Mouw received a B.S. from Western Michigan University in 2000, and an M.S. and a Ph.D. from the University of Rhode Island. Following her Ph.D. she was a postdoctoral investigator at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, until she moved to Michigan Technological University in 2012. In 2016, she moved back to the University of Rhode Island.
