He played college football for the Stanford Cardinal, earning unanimous All-American honors. He was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft, and he was considered one of the best guard prospects available. He was a six-time Pro Bowl selection with the Steelers.
