Why Is David G. Epstein Influential?

According to Wikipedia, David Gustav Epstein is the George E. Allen Professor of Law at University of Richmond School of Law and an expert on bankruptcy. Epstein was raised in Texas by a Jewish family. Epstein received a B.A. from the University of Texas in 1964, a J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law in 1966, and an LL.M. from Harvard Law School in 1969. While a student at UT, he became a member of the Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity. He was also a clerk for the Texas Supreme Court.
