According to Wikipedia, Donald Lester Kreider was an American mathematician and educator who served as president of the Mathematical Association of America . Early life Kreider was born on December 5, 1931, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. He attended high school in Lititz, Pennsylvania, and college at Lebanon Valley College, where he received a bachelor's degree in 1953. In 1959, he received a PhD in mathematics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology for a thesis in recursive function theory supervised by Hartley Rogers.
