According to Wikipedia, Doug Friedman is an American former professional ice hockey player who played in the American Hockey League with two brief stints in the National Hockey League . Known as an enforcer, Friedman racked up over 1,400 penalty minutes in just under 500 games in the AHL/IHL. He played four years with Boston University in NCAA Division I before beginning his professional career with the Cornwall Aces of the AHL. He was the only player taken from Edmonton in the 1998 NHL Expansion Draft. He finished his career with the Worcester IceCats of the AHL in 2001.
