(Suggest an Edit or Addition)According to Wikipedia, Eberhardt Rechtin was an American systems engineer and respected authority in aerospace systems and systems architecture. Biography Eberhardt Rechtin was born in East Orange, New Jersey on January 16, 1926. He served in the U.S. Navy on active duty from 1943 to 1946 and continued as a reserve officer until 1958. He completed his undergraduate work at the California Institute of Technology during his Navy service. He received his doctorate in electrical engineering, also from Caltech, in 1950. He was a founding father of systems architecture as a distinct discipline.
