Why Is E. C. Pielou Influential?
(Suggest an Edit or Addition)According to Wikipedia, Evelyn Chrystalla "E.C." Pielou was a Canadian statistical ecologist. Biography Pielou studied at the University of London, where she obtained her bachelor's degree in botany in 1951 and her PhD in 1962. From 1963 to 1964, she worked as a researcher for the Canadian Department of Forestry, followed by the Canadian Department of Agriculture between 1964 and 1967. Later she was professor of biology at Queen's University, Kingston, Ontario and at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia and then Oil Sands Environmental Research Professor working out of the University of Lethbridge, Alberta .
