He was drafted by the Philadelphia 76ers in the 2013 NBA draft, but was immediately traded on draft night to the Washington Wizards. Rice played college basketball for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, but was dismissed from the team during his junior season. He is the son of NBA All-Star Glen Rice.
