Guillermo A. Baralt Carrera is a Puerto Rican historian. Born on June 17, 1917, in Fajardo, Puerto Rico. He obtained his bachelor's degree from Duquesne University in 1970. Later he continued his studies in the University of Chicago where he earned his Master's and Doctor's degrees. He was a professor of History at the University of Puerto Rico at Rio Piedras.
