(Suggest an Edit or Addition)According to Wikipedia, Hans-Jürgen Appelrath was a professor of computer science and information technology at the University of Oldenburg from 1987. Early career After graduating from high school in Duisburg in June 1970, Appelrath studied mathematics and philosophy at the University of Bonn from 1970 to 1972. He then enrolled in the diploma course in computer science with minor in mathematics at the University of Dortmund, which he successfully completed in March 1977. From 1977 to 1983, he was a research associate of the Department of Computer Science at the University of Dortmund in various industrial collaboration projects. In May 1983, Appelrath was awarded his PhD by the University of Dortmund.
