Education and career Harald Bergström studied mathematics, physics and chemistry at the Uppsala University and received in 1931 his master's degree. From 1932 to 1934 he taught at secondary schools and then worked as a research assistant at the Uppsala University. There he received his Ph.D. in 1938 and taught until 1945.
