(Suggest an Edit or Addition)According to Wikipedia, Henry William Lloyd Tanner was Professor of Mathematics at the University College of South Wales and Monmouthshire from 1883 to 1909. Life Tanner was born on 17 January 1851 at Burham, Kent and was educated at Bristol Grammar School and Jesus College, Oxford, where he was taught by John Griffiths. He was appointed Professor of Mathematics and Astronomy at the University College of South Wales and Monmouthshire in 1883, and held the post until 1909. He was a Fellow of the Royal Society and a Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society. Tanner published various papers on differential equations and other subjects in mathematics.
