Why Is Hubert Pernot Influential?
(Suggest an Edit or Addition)According to Wikipedia, Hubert Octave Pernot was a French linguist, specializing in Modern Greek studies. He studied at the École des langues orientales in Paris as a pupil of and Jean Psichari, and from 1895 to 1912 worked as a répétiteur of Modern Greek at the school. In 1912 he became a lecturer at the University of Paris, where from 1930 he served as a professor of post-classical and Modern Greek and of neo-Hellenic literature.
