He is also a member of Bio-X, Stanford's interdisciplinary biosciences institute, the Maternal & Child Health Research Institute , the Stanford Cancer Institute, and the Wu Tsai Neurosciences Institute. His research is in quantitative genomics, epigenetics, and evolutionary biology and has focused on developing new experimental and computational methods to study the evolution of gene expression in defining complex traits.
