(Suggest an Edit or Addition)According to Wikipedia, Jean L. Mawhin is a Belgian mathematician and historian of mathematics. Mawhin received his PhD in 1969 under Paul Ledoux at the University of Liège, where he had studied since 1962 and received his licentiate in mathematics in 1964. He was assistant professor at Liège from 1964 and maitre de conferences from 1969 to 1973. From 1970 he was assistant professor and from 1974 professor of mathematics at the Université catholique de Louvain . In 2008 he retired.
