He has directed and produced two feature-length documentaries, Land of Confusion and Code 2600 . Background Born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, Zerechak joined the Army National Guard after high school so he could afford to attend film school. He was enrolled at Pennsylvania State University when his unit was deployed to Iraq in 2004. While serving in Iraq, Zerechak filmed his first feature-length documentary, Land of Confusion, which chronicles his unit's mission in Iraq and the operations of the Iraq Survey Group. Zerechak graduated from Pennsylvania State University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts in Film and Video Production. He taught film at Ohio University.
