(Suggest an Edit or Addition)According to Wikipedia, Kenworth W. Moffett was an American art curator, museum director and author. Moffett took a degree in art history at Columbia University, where he studied with Meyer Schapiro and Philip Pouncey, and graduated in 1960. He then pursued graduate work at Harvard University, earning a Ph.D. in 1968. His dissertation on German art critic Julius Meier-Graefe served as the foundation for his first book, Meier-Graefe as Art Critic . A champion of Color Field painting, he wrote critical essays and reviews for major art periodicals including Artforum and Art International throughout the late '60s and 1970s. From 1968 to 1979, Moffett was a full professor of art history at Wellesley College.
