Why Is Knut Midgaard Influential?

According to Wikipedia, Knut Midgaard is a Norwegian political scientist. Born in Oslo, he first studied the history of ideas. In 1958 he was among the proponents of the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs, and in 1959 he graduated with the mag.art. degree. He was briefly lecturer at the University of Oslo before getting a NAVF scholarship as a research fellow at the Nansen Institute and Harvard University.
