He played college football for the NC State Wolfpack. He was selected by the Seattle Seahawks ninth overall in the 2001 NFL Draft, and also played for the NFL's Minnesota Vikings and Green Bay Packers between stints with the Seahawks. He was selected to the Pro Bowl with the Vikings in 2005.
