Why Is Krista Kostial-Šimonović Influential?
(Suggest an Edit or Addition)According to Wikipedia, Krista Kostial-Šimonović was a Croatian physician and academic who researched the effects of human exposure to heavy metals and toxicity. She was elected as an associate member of the Yugoslav Academy of Sciences and Arts in 1981 and became a full member of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts, when the country gained its independence from Yugoslavia in 1991. In 1996, she was honored with the Order of Danica Hrvatska in recognition of her scientific work.
