According to Wikipedia, Kunal Basu is an Indian author of English fiction who has written five novels – The Opium Clerk , The Miniaturist , Racists , The Yellow Emperor's Cure Kalkatta and Sarojini’s Mother . The title story of his only collection of short stories, The Japanese Wife , was made into a film by the Indian filmmaker Aparna Sen. Basu has also written four Bengali novels – Rabi-Shankar , Bairer Dorja , Tejoswini O Shabnam and Angel
