She is a full professor at the Universidad Nacional de La Plata and a researcher at the Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas y Técnicas, a public organization in Argentina that promotes science and technology. She is the head of the journal "Observatório Social de América Latina" of the Latin American Council of Social Sciences .
