Mikhael Mirilashvili is a businessman and social-cause supporter. Originally from Georgia, Mirilashvili does business primarily in Russia and Israel, focusing on residential and commercial real estate, casinos, media, and renewable energy. After completing academic studies as a mathematician, Mirilashvili became a medical doctor, specializing in pediatrics. Eventually, Mirilashvili left medicine and became part of his family’s real estate outfits. He is the president of Petromir, a Russian holdings company, and the director of Lukoil North West Petroleum. Mirilashivili is also the owner of a television channel and several St. Petersburg-based shopping malls and business spaces.

In 2021, Mirilashvili established the Moshe Mirilashvili Center for Food Security in the Desert at the Blaustein Institutes for Desert Research at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. He is a supporter of the Migdalor organization for residential education in Israel’s north. Mirilashvili has donated Torah scrolls to various IDF units and he is a Chairman of the International Board of Trustees of ZAKA. In response to international disasters and events, Mirilashvili has partnered with others to provide relief and services. He and Alexander Mashkevitch funded a fleet of fire-fighting vehicles after the Carmel Forest Fire in 2010. In 2012, in the aftermath of the terror attack in Bulgaria, he sponsored the air travel for the delegation of doctors and paramedics who traveled to the region to help. In Abu Dhabi, Mirilashvili supports a joint Israeli-Emirati Water Research Institute which is part of Tel Aviv University.
