Why Is M. J. Bayarri Influential?
(Suggest an Edit or Addition)According to Wikipedia, María Jesús Bayarri García was a Spanish Bayesian statistician who served as president of the International Society for Bayesian Analysis and of the Sociedad Española de Biometría . Education and career After earning a bachelor's degree in 1976, a master's degree in 1979, and a doctorate in 1984 from the University of Valencia, Bayarri remained at the university as a faculty member for the rest of her career. After the death of her husband in 1984, she became a Fulbright scholar, and frequently visited the US, becoming an adjunct professor at Duke University.
