(Suggest an Edit or Addition)According to Wikipedia, Matrona Vasylivna Bratiychuk was a Ukrainian astronomer, one of the first devoted to the observation of artificial satellites. Life Bratiychuk was born on 8 September 1927 in Verba, a village in the Dubno Raion of Ukraine, at the time part of the Soviet Union. After earning a degree in 1952 from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, she became a secondary school teacher for a year before continuing her graduate education.
