She was born on November 10, 1960, in the city of Moriyama, Aichi, , Japan and graduated from Aoyama Gakuin University. She made her singing debut in 1979; in 1982 she got an early break on the television show Owarai Manga Dōjō. Noteworthy radio and television appearances include Miss DJ Request Parade , Expo Scramble , Wakamono no Subete , Meibugyō Tōyama no Kin-san , Shitsurakuen , Magarikado no Kanojo and Shichinin no Onna Bengoshi . She is the subject of several photo books, including Woman . Kawashima died on September 24, 2015, from bile duct cancer. She was 54.
