Patrick Joseph Schiltz is a United States District Judge of the United States District Court for the District of Minnesota. He was appointed by Republican President George W. Bush.Education and career Patrick J. Schiltz was born and raised in Duluth, Minnesota. He graduated summa cum laude in 1981 from the College of St. Scholastica and magna cum laude in 1985 from Harvard Law School, where he was an editor of the Harvard Law Review. During the gap year between college and law school, Schiltz worked as a Legislative Aide to Senator Dave Durenberger .
