Why Is Ralph Palmer Agnew Influential?
(Suggest an Edit or Addition)According to Wikipedia, Ralph Palmer Agnew was an American mathematician. Agnew was born in Poland, Ohio, and did his undergraduate studies at Allegheny College. After completing a master's degree at Iowa State College he moved to Cornell University, where he received a Ph.D. in 1930. He was appointed to the Cornell faculty in 1931. He chaired the mathematics department at Cornell from 1940 to 1950, and was responsible for bringing William Feller and Mark Kac to Cornell.
