Regina Peruggi was born in 1947, and is a renowned educator, fundraiser, and activist.

Peruggi is originally from The Bronx and earned a Bachelor of Arts in sociology from the College of New Rochelle. She then obtained a Master of Business Administration from New York University and a Doctor of Education from Columbia University.

Peruggi has been responsible for growth and expansion at several universities including (where she was able to double enrollment in 11 years) and Kingsborough Community College (which was named one of the top four community colleges in the US during her tenure).

Peruggi has served on the board for many organizations and applied the same tactics of strong fundraising and community outreach that she used in her professional career. She was the president of the Central Park Conservatory, and a member of the board of directors for many organizations including:

Peruggi was married to Rudy Giuiliani but the marriage ended in the rare case of a divorce after a period of separation and an annulment after the couple found out they were second cousins.

According to Wikipedia, Regina S. Peruggi is an American educator, who was the President of Kingsborough Community College from 2005 to 2014, the first woman to hold that position in the college's 40-year history. Prior to that, she was president of Marymount Manhattan College and led the Central Park Conservancy. For 14 years , she was married to her second cousin, Rudy Giuliani.
