Why Is Rex R. Perschbacher Influential?

According to Wikipedia, Rex R. Perschbacher was the Daniel J. Dykstra Endowed Chair at UC Davis School of Law, where he presided as Dean from 1998-2008. In addition to his impressive career as a legal scholar, he was credited with leading "an intellectual renaissance" at the Law School and with spearheading the King Hall Expansion and Renovation, a $30 million effort to upgrade the Law School's Martin Luther King, Jr. Hall.
