Why Is Richard Coss Influential?
(Suggest an Edit or Addition)According to Wikipedia, Richard Gerrit Coss is an American evolutionary psychologist, and academic. He is a Professor Emeritus of Psychology at the University of California, Davis. Coss' research interest spans the field of behavioral evolution, with a particular focus on analyzing adaptive variation in antipredator behavior in different populations, and the impact of developmental, physiological, and neurobiological constraints on behavior. He is most known for his work on dendritic spine plasticity, and early contributions to the field of evolutionary aesthetic preferences. He has also authored and co-authored more than 130 peer-reviewed journal articles and is the editor of the book Environmental Awareness: Evolutionary, Aesthetic and Social Perspectives.
