Richard Whitlock, M.D., Ph.D., FRCSC is a Canadian cardiovascular surgeon and a Professor of Surgery at McMaster University Medical School. He is most well known for being the principal investigator of the SIRS trial and the LAAOS III trial. On April 9, 2015, Whitlock and his team performed the first transcatheter aortic valve implantation on a pregnant woman in the world.
