(Suggest an Edit or Addition)According to Wikipedia, Charles Roland Marchand was an American historian who taught at the University of California, Davis, where he co-founded the History Project. Early life and education Marchand received a Bachelor of Arts in journalism summa cum laude from Stanford University in 1955, after which he served as an officer in the United States Navy for three years. He received his Master of Arts in 1961 and his PhD in 1964, also from Stanford.
