Why Is Ross W. Greene Influential?

According to Wikipedia, Ross W. Greene is an American clinical child psychologist and author of the books The Explosive Child, Lost at School, Lost & Found, and Raising Human Beings. Greene developed the evidence-based model of intervention called Collaborative & Proactive Solutions . Greene is founding director of the non-profit Lives in the Balance, and developed and executive produced the documentary film, The Kids We Lose. Greene's research has been widely published in academic journals, and he and the CPS model have been featured in popular media including The Oprah Show, Dateline NBC, the CBS Morning Show, the Public Broadcasting Service , National Public Radio, The Washington Post, Mother Jones magazine, and The Atlantic. He and Lives in the Balance advocate against punitive, exclusionary disciplinary practices — including detention, suspension, expulsion, corporal punishment, restraint, and seclusion — which are disproportionately applied to Black and Brown children and children with disabilities.
