Presti has held the position since 2007 when he was hired at the age of 29, and was the second youngest person in NBA history to hold the position after Jerry Colangelo. After long-time Dallas Mavericks general manager Donnie Nelson departed the Mavs on June 16, 2021, Presti is currently the longest tenured active general manager in the NBA.
