Why Is Serhy Yekelchyk Influential?
(Suggest an Edit or Addition)According to Wikipedia, Serhy Yekelchyk is a Ukrainian Canadian historian, who has published widely on modern Ukrainian and Russian history and Russian-Ukrainian relations. Education and career Yekelchyk received his B.A. from the University of Kyiv and his M.A. from the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences. He conducted research in Australia in the early 1990s, then moved to Edmonton to complete his Ph.D. at the University of Alberta in 2000. He was a postdoctoral fellow and visiting assistant professor at the University of Michigan the following year. Since 2001, he has taught at the University of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. He currently serves as president of the Canadian Association of Ukrainian Studies.
