According to Wikipedia, Rabbi Shubert Spero is an American rabbi and author; he was Professor of Jewish Thought at Bar Ilan University. Biography Spero was born in New York City. He studied at Yeshiva Torah Vodaas in Brooklyn, New York. He received his B.S degree at City College of New York and attained an M.A and a PhD in philosophy at Western Reserve University. In 1947 he received smicha , and in 1950 became rabbi of Young Israel of Cleveland, Ohio.
