(Suggest an Edit or Addition)According to Wikipedia, Stanislav Alexeyevich Molchanov is a Soviet and American mathematician. From 1958 to 1963 he was a student at the Mathematical and Mechanical faculty, Moscow State University , where he graduated in 1963 with a master's thesis On one problem from the diffusion process theory supervised by Eugene Dynkin. At MSU Molchanov graduated in 1967 with Russian Candidate degree with thesis Some problems in the Martin boundary theory and in 1983 with Russian Doctor of Sciences degree with thesis Spectral theory of random operators. At MSU he was from 1966 to 1971 an assistant professor, from 1971 to 1988 an associate professor, and from 1988 to 1990 a full professor in the department of probability theory and mathematical statistics. He was a visiting professor from 1991 to 1992 at the University of California, Irvine and from 1992 to 1993 at the University of Southern California. In 1994 Molchanov became a full professor at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
