Biography Early life and Civil War Anderson was born in Chillicothe, Ohio, January 22, 1836. He graduated at Mount St. Mary's college in 1855, and attended the Cincinnati School of Law and was admitted to the bar in Cincinnati in 1858. He practiced law at Newport, Kentucky from 1858 to 1861.
