Thomas Vose Daily was an American prelate of the Roman Catholic Church who served as bishop of the Diocese of Brooklyn from 1990 to 2003.Biography Early life and ordination Bishop Daily was born to John F. and Mary McBride Daily, a member of an established New England family, in Belmont, Massachusetts in 1927. Upon completion of his studies, first at Boston College and later at St. John's Seminary in Brighton, Massachusetts, he was ordained as a priest of the Archdiocese of Boston in 1952 by Richard Cardinal Cushing at Boston's Cathedral of the Holy Cross. Following ordination, he was assigned as curate for St. Ann's church in Wollaston, Quincy. He remained in that post through the rest of that decade.
