Education Miyasaka graduated from the Applied Chemistry Department of Waseda University in March 1976. He obtained a master's degree in industrial chemistry from the University of Tokyo in 1978. He was a visiting researcher at the University of Quebec in Canada in 1980 when he was study Ph.D. in synthetic chemistry at the UTokyo.
