Why Is Vasil Gyuzelev Influential?

According to Wikipedia, Vasil Todorov Gyuzelev is a Bulgarian historian who studies Bulgaria during the Middle Ages. Biography Gyuzelev was born in the village of Rakovski in 1936. Between 1954 and 1959 he studied history and archaeology in the Sofia University and then worked for a short time in the Museum of History in Dimitrovgrad. Gyuzelev worked in the Sofia university and served as a director of the National Museum of History between 1975 and 1977. In 1995 he became associate member and in 2003 academician of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.
